Xiphiorhynchus is an extinct genus of ray-finned fish. It is a member of the Xiphiidae, commonly known as swordfish or broadbills. Unlike the modern swordfish, both its upper and lower jaws were extended into blade-like rostrums. It first evolved in the Eocene and went extinct by the end of the Miocene.
