Hypoturrilites was an ammonite that lived in what is now Germany, UK, Iran, Australia, Madagascar, USA, France, Switzerland and  Mozambique. It was about 5cm in size and swam the Tethys Sea during the Cretaceous period.

It has been found around the world in areas that would have been oceans in the Cretaceous.
