Chungkingosaurus is a Stegosaur from late Jurassic China. It is about 11.5 feet long (3.5 meters) and is a fairly small Stegosaur.
It was probably a smaller and developmentally primitive representative of stegosaurs. Like other stegosaurs, chungkingosaurus was equipped with two rows of dorsal plates and tail spikes, and was probably a herd herbivore feeding on the plant's food of the below-growing vegetation. Researcher Gregory S. Paul believes that the specimens of the genus Chungkingosaurus have actually been found to be in fact, the cubs of the species Tuojiangosaurus multispinus. In adulthood, this species was around 6.5 meters long and about 2800 kg in weight.
