Cyamodus is a species of Placodus fossil in the early to mid-19th century was discovered in Germany by Kristin Eric Herman Wang Mai Seoul named in 1863. Fossil 's in order to Anni Xi Triassic Ladinian period. Cyamodus body length of 1.3 meters. Cyamodus is planted with heavy armor water animals, mainly shellfish for food, and its strong jaw food pulled from the seabed, and the teeth crushed. Cyamodus the body, especially the armor, is described as similar to the plate turtle.

SizeEdit

Four feet long, compared to the giants such as Placodus and Paraplacodus this was a diminutive genus, weighing only 90 pounds.

DietEdit

Like all other placodonts, it was a shellfish eater. Two juveniles have been found in the body of a small nothosaur called Lariosaurus (one in the stomach, the other in the throat, seeming to have been the cause of death due to its wide shell).
