Theropods (theropod pronounced /ˈθerəpɒd/; suborder name theropoda /θiːˈrɒpɵdə/, meaning 'beast feet') are a group of bipedal saurischian dinosaurs. Although they were primarily carnivorous, a number of theropod families evolved herbivory during the Cretaceous Period.
