Ankylosauridae was a family of herbivorous dinosaurs with armored plates on their back. Ankylosaurs were not only heavily armored but were also heavily armed: some ankylosaurs had clubbed tails and or shoulder spikes.

Ankylosaurs are almost completely armored, and even if they had soft underbellies, they would be so heavy it would be almost impossible to knock them over.
